Victorian Government Panel Appointment

Guild Lawyers has been appointed to a Victorian Government legal services panel. Guild Lawyers successfully tendered for a position on the Coronial Inquests Specialists Panel with the four year appointment effective from 1 July.

As part of their tender, Guild Lawyers committed to providing pro-bono legal services to support disadvantaged Victorians.

Attorney-General Robert Hulls noted that the Government was able to promote key justice initiatives through the tender requirements that panel firms report on the status of women in their firms and commit to appropriate dispute resolution.

"Equal opportunity is a cornerstone of Guild Lawyers and was a strong message in our tender", said Kellie Dell'Oro, a Principal of the firm.

Guild Lawyers sit alongside a number of high-profile law firms elected to the panels.

"It's an excellent opportunity for Guild Lawyers to demonstrate its expertise. The appointment reflects that Guild Lawyers is competitive with the top legal firms in Victoria," said Solicitor Director, Paul Baker.

The appointment to the panel paves the way for Guild Lawyers to represent various government departments including the Department of Justice, Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, Department of Human Services, and the Department of Sustainability and Environment.

Guild Lawyers has a leading insurance practice, acting for a large number of local and overseas insurers.
