John Kelly adds weight to Guild Lawyers

John Kelly has joined Guild Lawyers, adding his significant experience and expertise in the aged care and healthcare sectors to the commercial legal team.

John expands the range of specialist knowledge and services offered within the firm and the Guild Group.

John provides legal advice primarily to clients in the health, not-for-profit and aged care sectors. John specialises in the areas of commercial, corporate and competition law, as well as general regulatory compliance and governance advice.

John Kelly has been a partner at top law firms for over 10 years, after spending his first 15 years in clinical and senior management positions in health care. John is currently Chairman of The Smith Family and has been involved for the past 20 years in numerous health related, commercial, not-for-profit, and government Boards holding both Chairman and director roles.

John was recently recognised for his significant contributions for services to the community in areas of nursing and aged care policy and in healthcare management when he was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the Queens Birthday Honours List.

John also holds an Adjunct Professorial position in the Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Health at the University of Technology as well as an Adjunct Associate Professorial role in the Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery at the University of Sydney. John has facilitated numerous workshops and forums over the past 20 years primarily with a problem solving or educational focus. He is widely published in relevant professional literature on management and legal issues.
